Terms of Service

The service

ClueCode is desktop software that sends screenshots you choose to capture to an AI provider (Google Gemini) using an API key you supply, and displays the response. A paid subscription entitles one account to run one desktop session at a time, each lasting up to 3 hours.

Acceptable use

• Use ClueCode only where AI assistance is permitted. You are responsible for following the rules of any course, employer, examination, or assessment platform.
• Do not use ClueCode to misrepresent AI-generated work as your own where that is prohibited, or to circumvent proctoring, monitoring, or security controls.
• Do not share your account, resell access, or attempt to bypass the one-session limit, licensing, or payment checks.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for abuse, or gain unauthorised access to our services.

Your API key

You provide and are responsible for your own Gemini API key, including any charges Google bills to it and compliance with Google's terms. We never receive your key.

AI output

AI answers can be wrong. Review them before relying on them. The service is provided "as is" without warranties to the extent permitted by law.

Subscription and billing

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled under the refund policy.

Suspension

We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, for example through account sharing or abuse of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email or in the app.
